About Us 

KPE - Kelly Precision Engineering are seeking a full-time Qualified Welder or Metal Fabricator for an immediate start to join our Albury based team. In this role, you will be responsible for producing high-quality metal fabrication work to support our expanding business.

With over 30 years of experience in machining and steel fabrication, we have built a strong reputation for quality workmanship, reliability, and customer service. We service a diverse range of industries and manufacture everything from one-off custom components through to small production runs.

We are looking for a tradesperson who takes pride in their work, has exceptional attention to detail, and can consistently produce high-quality fabrication and welding work across a diverse range of products. Quality and workmanship are highly valued at KPE, and we are seeking someone who shares those standards.

About the Role

Your responsibilities will include:

·       Welding and fabricating components from engineering drawings and specifications

·       MIG welding of mild steel and stainless-steel products

·       Operating a variety of workshop fabrication equipment

·       Inspecting completed work to ensure quality standards and specifications are met

·       Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised work environment

·       Working collaboratively with the workshop team to meet production requirements and deadlines

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

·       Trade qualification in Metal Fabrication, Boilermaking or similar

·       Proven MIG welding experience

·       Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

·       Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality workmanship

·       Ability to consistently produce accurate, high-quality work across a wide variety of fabrication projects

·       A commitment to maintaining high standards of finish and presentation

·       Ability to work independently and as part of a team

·       Reliability, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic

·       Competitive hourly rate of $35–$40 per hour, depending on experience and capability

Hours of Work

·       Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 3:30pm

·       Friday: 7:00am – 1:00pm

·       38-hour week

·       Overtime available when required
