VIC Metal Roofing is seeking experienced and qualified Team Leaders and Roof Plumbers to join our expanding team. Working across a diverse portfolio of residential and commercial projects, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality roof plumbing solutions, from new home builds and re-roofing projects to large-scale multi-storey commercial developments.

Team Leader Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise roof plumbing teams on residential and commercial projects ensuring all work is completed in accordance with Australian Standards, building regulations, and company quality requirements

  • Carry out roof plumbing works on new builds, re-roofing projects, extensions, and commercial developments

  • Coordinate daily site activities to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule

  • Allocate tasks and provide guidance, training, and support to team members

  • Monitor workmanship and ensure all work meets company standards and client expectations

  • Conduct site safety inspections and ensure compliance with OH&S requirements and industry regulations

  • Liaise with clients, project managers, builders, suppliers, and other trades to maintain project progress

  • Assist with planning material requirements and managing site resources

  • Mentor apprentices and junior tradespeople, supporting their development and growth within the company

  • Identify and resolve on-site issues quickly and effectively to minimise delays

  • Maintain accurate site records, including safety documentation, progress reports, and quality checks

  • Foster a positive team culture through strong leadership, communication, and professionalism

  • Represent VIC Metal Roofing professionally when interacting with clients, builders, and suppliers

Qualified Roof Plumber Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain metal roofing, flashings, gutters, downpipes, and rainwater systems across residential and commercial projects

  • Carry out roof plumbing works on new builds, re-roofing projects, extensions, and commercial developments

  • Read and interpret plans, specifications, and site instructions to ensure accurate project delivery

  • Measure, fabricate, and install roofing materials to a high standard of workmanship

  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with Australian Standards, building regulations, and company quality requirements

  • Identify and resolve on-site issues while maintaining project timelines and quality outcomes

  • Operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently

  • Maintain a strong commitment to workplace health and safety, including working at heights procedures

  • Work collaboratively with supervisors, team members, builders, and other trades on site

  • Maintain a clean, organised, and professional work environment

  • Complete projects within allocated timeframes while consistently delivering exceptional workmanship

  • Represent VIC Metal Roofing professionally when interacting with clients, builders, and suppliers

Qualifications & Experience

  • Current BPC Plumbing Registration

  • Construction Induction Card (White Card)

  • Working at Heights Certification

  • Current Victorian Drivers License

  • EWP License (Highly regarded, but not essential)

  • Strong technical knowledge and a commitment to quality workmanship
