Due to continued growth and success across our business, we now have opportunities for experienced 2nd Class Welders to join our expanding team. At BMI our well-equipped workshop is set up to offer truck hydraulic and body fitment capabilities which can accommodate the smallest of assets up to some of the largest mobile equipment in the industry.

About the role

Based in our well-equipped workshop in Acacia Ridge the role will include, but not be limited to the following:

Perform repairs and maintenance on hook lifts, tip & skip bin loaders, tippers, and just about anything that has wheels or tracks with hydraulics.
Repairs to truck hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
Structural body repairs and fabrication.
Read and understand engineering drawings and designs.
To maintain and care for all machines, tooling and equipment used.
Ensure compliance with all standard operating procedures and safe work practices.
Take instruction and direction from the Workshop Supervisor.

About you

The successful candidate will bring the following skills and experience to the role:

Must have at least 12 months MIG Welding experience.
Ability to perform fabrication and assembly of components in a workshop environment.
Previous experience within heavy vehicle and truck maintenance.
Ability to read engineering drawings & computer literacy.
Work well within a team, autonomously and unsupervised.
Demonstrated commitment to safety.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Punctual and reliable.
