MECHANICAL FITTER APPPRENTICE (2nd or 3rd year)

We have sought after positions for a Mechanical Fitter apprentice to join with an indusutry leading client based in Acacia Ridge. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will play a crucial role in the manufacture and repair of industrial machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and productivity. This is a full-time position offering competitive remuneration and opportunities for ongoing career development.
What you'll be doing
Manufacturing, repairs, and overhauls on a variety of specialised industrial machinery and equipment for the mining and civil construction trade
Reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals to diagnose and troubleshoot issues
Fitting, inspecting, and reassembling machinery, replacing worn or defective parts as required
Performing precision fitouts alignments to ensure equipment meets manufacturer specifications
Collaborating with team members and stakeholders to implement efficient maintenance strategies
Adhering to all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
Providing on-the-job training and mentoring to apprentices as required
What we're looking for
Current enrolment in a Mechanical Fitting apprenticeship or industry experience
Trade assistants with relevant experience are encouraged to apply and will be fast tracked to formal qulification as a mechanical fitter through a combination of recognition of prior learning(RPL) and flexible college options
Experience in the build and repair of industrial machinery, including hydraulic, pneumatic, 24 volt electrical componenets and mechanical systems wil be highly regarded
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to diagnose and resolve equipment issues
Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail to perform precision work
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on safety and quality
Strong communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders
