Smart Meter Installer - Subcontractors Wanted!

About the role

Universal Power Solutions is currently looking for Electrical Subcontractors to join our expanding team of Smart Meter Technicians, servicing Brisbane and Moreton Bay Region.

What you'll be doing

1. Undertake safe and efficient installations of smart electricity meters at residential, commercial & industrial properties

2. Single Phase & Three Phase Whole Current meter installations/exchanges, fault finding and rectification

3. Embedded Network meter and communications installations, fault finding and rectification

4. Ensure all work is completed to the highest standard and in compliance with industry regulations and safety protocol

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience as an Electrician or Smart Meter Technician

2. Relevant trade qualifications, including an Electrical Licence/Electrical Contractor Licence and experience working with smart meter technology

3. Strong customer service skills with the ability to effectively communicate with clients

4. Excellent time management and organisational abilities to juggle multiple installations and service calls throughout the day

5. A commitment to safety and a keen eye for detail to ensure all work is completed to a high standard

Licences Required

• Current Electrical Contractor Licence & relevant insurances (QLD)

• Current Electrical licence (QLD)

• Current Drivers licence

• Valid Construction (white) card

• Current Police check

• Current Working With Children check

Qualifications Required

• UEEEL0078 / UEEEL0013 / UEENEEG171A / UETTDRIS60A Install, Setup, and Commission Interval metering course or equivalent

• UETDRMP010 Provide first aid in an ESI environment or  HLATID003 Provide First Aid

• UETTDRRF06B Perform Rescue from a Live Panel  

• HLTAID009 or HLTAID001 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

• 10675NAT/11084NAT or equivalent- Asbestos Awareness Training or Asbestos Awareness Training (must be provided by RTO)

• QLD Energex Authorised Person

• Experience with the Intellihub metering project is preferred but not essential.
