Wheel Motor Technician

In this position, you will play a pivotal role in our Wheel Motor Exchange Program.

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

• Overhaul and maintain electric mining haul truck wheel motors and associated equipment.

• Disassemble, inspect, and repair large mechanical assemblies with precision.

• Complete job reports and requisition parts to keep projects on track.

• Replace or repair worn components such as shafts, gears, seals, and bearing fits.

• Clean and prepare mechanical equipment using specialized methods and tools.

• Adhere to QESH standards and promote a safe, clean work environment.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• Trade Certificate III Mechanical Fitter/Fitter & Turner/Diesel Mechanic (or equivalent)

• Experience in Mechanical fitting large equipment i.e., Wheel units, gearboxes etc

• Strong focus on safety and excellent time management skills.

• Strong communication skills and a collaborative team mindset.

• Current Driver's License (Forklift license and Dogging ticket are a bonus).
