CNC Machinist – Setter & Operator – CNC Mills, Lathes.
About the Opportunity
Coastal Aviation is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our busy workshop on the beautiful Sunshine Coast, Queensland. In this hands-on role, you will utilise your CNC machining expertise to set, program, run and operate CNC machines across a diverse range of precision engineering work.
This role offers genuine variety, technical challenge, and the opportunity to manufacture precision aerospace components alongside a diverse range of parts for general industry. As part of a close-knit team that values collaboration, quality and craftsmanship, you will work independently to exacting specifications and tight tolerances while contributing to a safety-focused, quality-driven, high-performing workplace.

Key Responsibilities
Set up, program, operate and monitor CNC machines
Achieve and maintain tight machining tolerances
Interpret and work from engineering drawings and specifications
Measure, inspect and verify components to quality standards
Complete clear and accurate reports and documentation
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A relevant Trade qualification and 5 years’ experience (essential)
Demonstrated experience setting and running CNC machines (essential)
Experience operating 3- and 5-axis CNC machines
Proficient in reading and editing CNC programs
Experience on HAAS CNC Mills and Lathes, (highly regarded)
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Ability to work independently
Good communication skills and the ability to complete accurate documentation
