Timport Specialised Timber Products is seeking a skilled Production Supervisor / Wood Machinist to join our team in Crestmead, Queensland.

As a Production Supervisor / Wood Machinist, you will play a crucial role in the production and manufacturing processes within our business. This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to develop your skills and contribute to the ongoing success of our company.

What you'll be doing

• Supervising a production team of up to 10 people, to ensure efficient processes are employed with complete adherence to all Workplace Health and Safety Policies.

• Operate a range of woodworking machinery with precision and care, including saws, 6 head planers, spindles, routers, and lathes.

• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate manufacturing of timber components.

• Perform routine maintenance and adjustments on machinery to maintain optimal operating conditions.

• Work collaboratively with the Management and the production team to ensure efficient and timely completion of orders.

• Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to all relevant safety protocols.

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Qualified Wood Machinist within the Timber industry.

• Proficiency in the use of a wide range of woodworking machinery.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety.

• A forklift licence would be an advantage but is not essential.

• Australian work rights are required for this position
