About The Role

As a Smoke Alarm Technician, you'll visit residential properties across Brisbane to inspect, service, test and maintain smoke alarm systems.

Whilst primarily based from home, your daily schedule is pre-planned by our Customer Team, allowing you to focus on delivering exceptional service and ensuring every property is safe and compliant with correctly installed, safest alarms.

This is an autonomous role where you'll spend your day meeting customers, solving problems, and helping homeowners, tenants and property managers understand their smoke alarm obligations. You'll likely head to our Brisbane HQ once or twice per week.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct smoke alarm inspections and compliance assessments

  • Test, service and maintain smoke alarm systems

  • Complete digital reports and compliance documentation

  • Educate customers on smoke alarm safety and legislation requirements

  • Deliver outstanding customer service on every visit

  • Identify and present opportunities for upgrades

  • Maintain company vehicle, equipment and tools

What we're looking for

  • Strong customer service and communication skills

  • Professional presentation and positive attitude

  • Ability to manage your time effectively

  • Comfortable using tablets and mobile technology

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Willingness to learn smoke alarm legislation and compliance requirements

  • Current Australian Driver's Licence

  • Australian working rights

Highly Regarded But Not Essential

  • Experience in smoke alarms, electrical, maintenance, property services or field service roles

  • Experience dealing directly with customers

  • Presenting solutions and opportunities to customers
