About the Role

The Tradesman Assistant supports qualified tradespeople and site supervisors in the delivery of residential construction projects. This role involves assisting with general construction tasks, maintaining a safe and organised worksite, handling materials and tools and contributing to the efficient completion of building activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist tradespeople with day-to-day construction activities.

• Prepare, move and organise materials, tools and equipment.

• Maintain site cleanliness and housekeeping standards.

• Support site set-up, deliveries and material storage.

• Follow instructions from supervisors and tradespeople.

• Comply with all Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements and site procedures.

• Identify and report hazards, defects and site issues.

• Undertake general labouring duties as required.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in construction or labouring preferred but not essential.

• White Card (Construction Induction Card) required.

• Current driver's licence preferred.

• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team.

• Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks.

• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

• Positive attitude and strong attention to safety.

• Reliable, punctual and motivated.

• Team-oriented with a willingness to assist across multiple trades.

• Commitment to quality workmanship and continuous improvement.
