Print Machinist - Flexographic Label Printer

QLM Label Makers is seeking an experienced Flexographic Printer to join our dynamic production team at Moorabbin, South East Melbourne

This full-time role involves operating state-of-the-art flexographic printing equipment to produce high-quality labels for a wide range of industries. Availability to work rotating shifts is required to meet production demands.

Candidates must be available to work day and afternoon shifts on a rotating basis, 2 week turnaround for each.

What you'll be doing

1. Set up and operate flexographic printing presses to produce labels to customer specifications

2. Conduct quality checks throughout the printing process to ensure consistent, defect-free output

3. Maintain printing equipment to the highest standards of cleanliness and functionality

4. Work collaboratively with the production team to meet deadlines and optimise workflow

5. Adhere to all workplace health and safety procedures

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 2 years' experience as a Flexographic Printer or Certificate III in Flexo Printing

2. Strong mechanical aptitude and confidence operating complex machinery

3. Excellent attention to detail and quality control skills

4. Proven problem-solving ability

5. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

6. Strong communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions

7. Sound knowledge of workplace health and safety practices

8. Australian citizenship is required for this position
