Workshop Coordinator

Located in Dandenong South our client specialises in fixed plant for the Mining Sector. They are looking for a Workshop Coordinator for an immediate start.

To be considered for this opportunity the following is required:

• Background in related field (ie mining, engineering)

• Previous Experience understanding of Engineering Workshop

• Related Qualifications

• Forklift Licence

• Strong Mechanical Aptitude

• Licence and Own Transport

Duties and Tasks Required:

• Assist Workshop manager with coordination of day to day operation of the Melbourne workshop, and supervise the Workshop team (also being hands on for all site works)

• Assist Workshop manager: to co-ordinate production in the workshop (and onsite), and preparation of quotations

• Ensure quoted delivery lead times are achieved, the work is done as per quotation (including quoted hours), ensure the quality of all works completed by workshop team, and that stock levels are maintained to enhance optimal production efficiency

• Hands on assistance in workshop. (including all aspect of workshop works), and assist Workshop manager with maintenance of in house equipment

• Assist Workshop manager to determine and co-ordinate the human and material resources needed, and the submission of all paperwork to head office, and Document and record job details in job files and shared drives (including pictures)

• Manage and conduct stock counts as required                                         

• Comply with, and comment to improve OHS policies, environmental standards and regulations  

Salary: $85,000 - 100,000 (plus super) per year (depending on experience)
