Senior Hairstylists & Apprentices Needed Immediate Start

About the role

Hair Colosseum, NSW’s largest Women’s Full Service Hair Salon chain with over 20 locations is seeking experienced Senior Hairstylists and enthusiastic Apprentices to join our dynamic team on an immediate basis. This is a full-time or part-time position based in Leichhardt Marketplace, NSW. As a Senior Hairstylist, you will be at the forefront of our salon operations, delivering exceptional hair services whilst mentoring junior staff and apprentices. Apprentices will have the opportunity to develop their skills under the guidance of experienced professionals in a supportive and creative environment. This role is integral to maintaining Hair Colosseum's reputation for excellence and innovation in hair and beauty services.

Key responsibilities

1. Providing high-quality hairstyling services including cutting, colouring, styling and treatments to diverse clientele

2. Consulting with clients to understand their hair goals and recommending appropriate services and products

3. Maintaining salon hygiene and health and safety standards at all times

4. Managing client appointments and ensuring timely service delivery

5. Mentoring and training apprentices and junior staff members in proper techniques and salon procedures

6. Building and maintaining strong client relationships to encourage repeat bookings and referrals

7. Staying current with industry trends, techniques and product knowledge

8. Contributing to a positive and collaborative salon atmosphere

9. For Apprentices: Assisting Senior Hairstylists with client services and learning fundamental hairstyling techniques under supervision

What we're looking for

1. For Senior Hairstylists: Minimum 3 years of professional hairstyling experience in a salon environment

2. Recognised hairdressing qualification or certification from an accredited training provider

3. Advanced proficiency in cutting, colouring and styling techniques

4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients

5. Excellent time management and organisational abilities

6. Knowledge of hair care products and their applications

7. For Apprentices: Completion of or enrolment in a recognised hairdressing apprenticeship programme

8. Enthusiasm, reliability and willingness to learn

9. Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced salon environment

10. Professional appearance and grooming standard.
