Security and Responsible Gaming Officer | Full-Time

Hotel Lismore is seeking a dynamic and proactive individual to fill the role of Venue Security and Advanced Responsible Conduct of Gaming Officer. As part of this hybrid role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of patrons and staff while also promoting responsible gambling practices in accordance with Venue and NSW gaming regulations.

Qualifications & Training Required:
• Current NSW RCG (Responsible Conduct of Gambling)
• Advanced Responsible Conduct of Gambling (ARCG) - Training and assistance provided for the right candidate
• Certificate II in Security Operations - Training and assistance provided for the right candidate

Role Type: Full-time
Schedule: Range of days, nights, weekends, including public holidays

Responsibilities: 
• Conduct regular patrols of the venue to maintain a safe and secure environment for patrons and staff. 
• Enforce venue policies and procedures to ensure compliance with licensing regulations. 
• Mitigate any disturbances or conflicts that arise within the venue with professionalism and diplomacy. 
• Identify and assist patrons displaying signs of problematic gambling behaviour. 
• Refer patrons experiencing gambling-related issues to appropriate support services, including facilitating self-exclusion if necessary. 
• Provide guidance and support to venue staff in identifying and reporting warning signs of problematic gambling behaviour. 
• Lead and cultivate a culture of responsible gambling and proactive harm minimisation within the venue. 
• Understand and uphold the requirements for promoting responsible conduct of gambling as mandated by Liquor and Gaming NSW. 
• Provide knowledge and strategies to support patrons, staff, and the broader community. 
• Assist venue management with any other ad-hoc requests related to the operation of the venue.
