About the role

As a Home Automation Service Technician at Talltech, you will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support and maintenance services to our residential and commercial clients. In this full-time role based in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane, Queensland, you will play a crucial part in ensuring our clients home automation systems are operating efficiently and effectively.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a technician to lead and support in installing and servicing equipment in luxury smart home devices and accessories on our projects. You'll be working closely with the team to achieve the clients brief and will be working on new builds and retro fits.

What you'll be doing

  • Conduct regular maintenance and servicing of home automation systems, including wiring, programming, and troubleshooting

  • Respond promptly to customer service requests and resolve technical issues in a timely manner

  • Provide end-user training and support to help customers maximise the functionality of their home automation systems

  • Installing and configuring home automation hardware and systems as directed by the sales or service team

  • Maintain detailed records of all service visits and system adjustments

  • Continuously expand your technical knowledge to stay up-to-date with the latest home automation technologies and industry trends

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience as a home automation technician or similar role, with a strong understanding of electrical, programming, and networking principles

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues

  • Strong customer service orientation and the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical clients

  • Familiarity with a variety of home automation systems, including control interfaces, sensors, and smart devices

  • Relevant technical certifications or qualifications in electrical, IT, or home automation

  • A valid driver's licence and the ability to travel to client sites as needed
