Operations Support Manager

Your New Opportunity:

We have and exciting opportunity a strategic and driven Operations Support Manager to join our Defence Programmes Group (DPG) in Kings Park, NSW or Wacol, QLD. You'll lead a small, bit diverse Operations Support Team coordinating critical contract and maintenance activities for defence assets ensuring seamless collaboration between Defence and the Penske branch network.

This is a high-profile leadership role where your skills in planning, project coordination and stakeholder engagement will support national Defence capabilities. If you thrive on making things happen behind the scenes and leading teams to operational excellence - this is your time to shine.

In this role you will:

Oversee the national scheduling and coordination of planned and unplanned Defence maintenance.
Lead and develop a diverse Operations Support team.
Liaise with Defence agencies and Penske branches to align service delivery and contract compliance.
Ensure service notifications, documentation, and reports meet contractual and quality standards.
Support quotation, tender, and project submission for new Defence work.
Coordinate project deliverables with internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure safe, effective and efficient operations across all support activities.

About you:

5+ years leadership in service delivery, planning, or Defence operations.
Qualifications in business, project management, or equivalent experience.
Proven stakeholder engagement and customer relationship management experience.
Able to interpret technical documentation and understand service delivery processes.
Strong knowledge of Defence project environments and Penske operations.
Excellent communication, coaching and negotiation skills.
Be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) Security Clearance of Negative Vetting 1.
