The Role

At Airmaster, we pride ourselves on delivering top-notch HVAC & Fire solutions to our clients.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a skilled Dry Fire Technician / Electrician to join our Sydney Fire team, based in Auburn.

This is a hands-on role for a Technician who takes pride in doing the job right the first time, enjoys fault-finding and problem-solving, and wants to be part of a solid, professional fire services crew that values safety and workmanship.

If you’re Sydney-based and want local work with the backing of a major company, we want to hear from you!

You’ll be on the tools, working across:

  • Fire Alarm & Detection Systems

  • Emergency Warning & Intercommunication Systems (EWIS)

  • Emergency Lighting and related equipment within your license scope

Your day-to-day will include installing, testing, maintaining, fault-finding, programming and commissioning fire systems, as well as completing scheduled servicing, defect repairs and minor works upgrades.

You’ll work across a good mix of sites — commercial, industrial, retail, aged care and education — giving you variety, steady work and the chance to use your full skill set rather than doing the same job on repeat.

Key Competencies

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Relevant Cert III Trade Qualification

  • Experience with Fire Electrical maintenance, repairs, installations, fault-finding and programming

  • High level FIP / EWIS programming (advantageous)

  • Experience quoting, project managing and optimising Minor Works projects (advantageous)

  • Highly developed communication and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail

  • Project / Install experience highly regarded – potential to evolve into a leading hand role.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a pleasant phone manner

  • Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Excel and office-based databases

  • Valid Driver’s License
