Our business in Jandakot is growing and we currently have an opportunity within our Engineering team for a talented Full Time Maintenance Electrician to work morning shift 5:00am - 1:00pm (with occasional overtime and weekend work). Penalties apply for overtime and weekend work.

About the Role

Based in Jandakot, reporting to the Maintenance Manger, our Maintenance Electrician provides key support by undertaking repairs, maintenance and general electrical service work aimed at expertly returning plant and equipment to proper effective operation.

Key Duties of the Roles:

·Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, machinery, and equipment used in food processing and packaging

·Find and troubleshoot electrical faults and diagnose issues with PLC’s, HMI’s, motors, sensors, and control systems

·Provide immediate breakdown and technical support to the production team at any time during rostered shifts, including during paid breaks

·Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to minimise downtime, in accordance with maintenance schedule.

·Collaborate with Maintenance and Production teams to support continuous improvement initiatives

·Accurately document maintenance activities and maintain records of repairs and inspections

·Compliance with and promoter of company/site OHS&E policies and procedures

·Full compliance always with food manufacturing GMP, HACCP and associated requirements

·Ensure all work complies with national electrical and food hygiene standards.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

·Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring and regulations

·Electrical Licence or Minimum restricted Electrical License

·Knowledge of further processing equipment - ovens/chillers/packaging equipment would be an advantage

·Ability to analyse tasks & define priorities

·Provide flexibility to meet the changing needs of a food industry business

·Multi-disciplined background experience

·High level of interpersonal problem-solving skills

·A decisive and innovative self-starter able to work independently or as part of a team.

·Experience with Fiix or similar CMMS systems

·Valid driver’s licence and own transport

·Knowledge of OHS&E practices

·Knowledge and experience of food industry standards, GMP and HACCP
