We are a successful Heavy Vehicle workshop located in Western Sydney. We have been established since 1987 and run a relaxed, fun, family atmosphere with 20 experienced staff. We have a modern workshop with diagnostic equipment, offering Heavy Vehicle Repairs, Maintenance and Scheduled Servicing.
About the role
We require a qualified and experienced diesel mechanic to join our team for a full time position of workshop servicing and repairs to Heavy Vehicles, including occasional onsite servicing and breakdowns, on all makes and models of Trucks and Trailers. We are seeking a stable and long-term employee, where you can enhance you professional skills and your efforts will truly be rewarded.

Duties and responsibilities
Provide expert advice on the current mechanical condition of heavy vehicles.
Identify and diagnose problems in engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, electrical, and other vehicle components using diagnostic tools, inspections, and tests.
Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other mechanical parts.
Repair or replace faulty, broken, worn, or dysfunctional components, including engine repairs, transmission overhauls, brake maintenance, and electrical or electronic system fixes.
Perform routine and scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, filter replacements, lubrication, engine tune-ups, and inspections to prevent potential issues.
Ensure vehicles comply with safety and environmental standards.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of all work performed, including repairs, parts replaced, and service details.
Schedule and advise on future maintenance needs and best practices for vehicle operation.
Maintain professionalism and take initiative in delivering maintenance services.
Perform all duties following strict workplace health and safety procedures.
Take all reasonable precautions to prevent injury to oneself and others.
Actively identify, report, and address workplace hazards to ensure a safe working environment.
Essential Skills and Requirements
Valid Drivers License
Current Trade Certificate
Fluent English and English writing skills
Customer service skills
Motivated and willing to learn
Experience in the industry
Diagnostic equipment experience
Root cause analysis skills
Rebuilding of Engines, Transmissions and Diffs
Forklift Licence
Heave Vehicle Drivers Licence
Certificate III in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Trade, Heavy Commercial Vehicle or equivalent
Minimum 3 years of industry experience
Must possess industry level certification to operate as a Diesel Motor Mechanic
A deep understanding of Automotive systems and components
Technical proficiency with diagnostic tools and understanding of vehicle systems
Problem-solving skills to identify and troubleshoot issues, especially complex mechanical problems
Attention to detail for precise repairs and thorough inspection of components
