Pump technician

We are a growing Fire Protection company looking for a Diesel / Electric pump mechanic to join our busy service / suppression systems team. As a member of our well-established team, your responsibilities will include: Servicing, repair, fault finding and breakdown support to diesel driven and electric motor driven pump sets supplying sprinkler and hydrant systems.

Main responsibilities include:

• Annual and 5 yearly servicing of fire pump sets.

• Pump set repairs and maintenance

• After hours call outs.

• Pump set troubleshooting. 

• New pump set installation.

• Assisting with routine inspection and testing-including system flow testing.

To be successful you will require the following

• Current Manual Drivers License 

• Trade qualified Mechanic or Plant Mechanic or Diesel Mechanic

• Excellent workmanship with attention to detail

• Ability to diagnose faults and report findings clearly and accurately to your supervisor.

• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

• Experience in the fire protection industry is desirable.

• Experience in fire pumps and pump controls is desirable.

• Be willing to take a pre-employment medical.

• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Be able to communicate face to face with clients.
