About the role

MCA Engineering is seeking a qualified Boilermaker Leading Hand / Foreperson to join the team in a full time role based in Parkes. This role will focus on leading the team of trades, and being hands on in the fabrication, assembly, repair and maintenance of mine site equipment.

 

Responsibilities:

• Leading a team of trades and apprentices in a workshop environment
• Hands on fabrication and assembly of mine site equipment including metal components and structures
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and specifications
• Conduct repairs and maintenance on plant, equipment and structural assets
• Identify defects and implement appropriate repair solutions
• Procurement & scheduling

 

What we’re looking for:

• Cert III Trade Fabrication at a minimum
• White Card and current drivers licence
• Experience as a Leading Hand within a mining company would be viewed favourably
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical including drug & alcohol testing.
• Forklift license and confined space tickets would be an advantage
