The Company

A well-established operator within the waste and transport sector is seeking a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join its Dubbo workshop. The business operates a large fleet of heavy vehicles and focuses on safety, reliability and high-quality maintenance standards.

The Position

Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance, repairs and mechanical work across a fleet of heavy vehicles and mobile equipment.

This is a hands-on role within a well-structured depot, working across scheduled servicing, breakdown repairs and ongoing fleet maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete scheduled servicing and maintenance tasks
• Carry out repairs, installations and commissioning of mechanical systems
• Perform emergency and non-routine repair work as required
• Diagnose faults across mechanical and hydraulic systems
• Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation
• Ensure work is completed safely and to a high standard
• Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment
• Support team members and assist with training apprentices

About You

• Trade qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
• Strong experience working on heavy vehicles and equipment
• Mechanical and hydraulic systems expertise
• HR licence (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong safety focus and knowledge of WHS/NHVR requirements
• Reliable, hands-on and able to work independently or within a team

• $51 - $54 per hour + Super
