We are building a new Mechanical team who will maintain to the highest standard, Australia’s first automated cargo terminal at the new Western Sydney International Airport, Badgerys Creek. You will be expected to work with world class cargo handling machines/systems in secured environments, diligently executing the following:
You must have the desire and ability to work safely, ensure the safety of your Team mates through correct implementation of relevant safety procedures such as JSA’s, SWMS’s and Confined Space documents.
Performing routine inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment. Including housekeeping tasks such as ensuring all equipment is free from grease build up and dust/debris.
Must have experience working in a high risk environment.
Must have the ability to install parts and components to the proper tolerances.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments is essential. Must also have a strong understanding of mechanical systems and components
Quickly diagnosing and repairing mechanical problems.
Reading and interpreting CAD drawings and schematics. Ensuring that all drawings are constantly kept up to date.
Maintaining comprehensive records of all maintenance and repair activities. (Documentation of all maintenance and repair work is important for compliance and future reference)
Developing new maintenance programs as required.
Assisting in the development of SOP’s.
Adhering to all safety procedures and regulations, reporting safety and environmental incidents, and ensuring a clean and safe work environment.
Training new staff on the correct operation and maintenance of systems and equipment as required.
Maintaining critical component supplies, parts and equipment to optimum levels.
Collaboration with other technicians or engineers and key staff as necessary for effective maintenance.
Continuous monitoring of systems and equipment to ensure early detection of faults, wear and tear and possible malfunction.
Maintaining a very high standard of housekeeping of the designated Maintenance office space.
