Due to continued growth, we are seeking a skilled and motivated
CNC Machinist to join a well-established Australian engineering company delivering high-quality precision components across industry.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys taking ownership of the full machining process — from
programming and setup through to operation and quality output.
About the Role Reporting to the Production Manager, you will play a key role in delivering precision-manufactured components to exact specifications, ensuring quality, efficiency, and on-time production outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Program, set up and operate CNC Mill-Turn equipment
- Manufacture precision components to engineering specifications and production deadlines
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, job sheets, and technical documentation
- Conduct quality checks to ensure components meet required tolerances and standards
- Maintain safe work practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Support lean manufacturing and efficient production processes
About You To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist with Mill-Turn operations
- Strong capability in programming, setup, and machine operation
- Experience operating Okuma and/or Mazak machines (highly regarded)
- Ability to accurately interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Trade qualification or tertiary qualification in Engineering / Manufacturing
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, production methodologies, and quality systems (advantageous)
- High attention to detail with pride in producing quality work
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
