Are you a qualified tradesperson who takes pride in delivering quality workmanship and outstanding customer service?

We are a leading custom cabinetry manufacturer seeking a Maintenance & Defects Technician to join our team. This role involves attending completed projects to carry out adjustments, repairs, touch-ups and final finishing works to ensure every project is delivered to the highest standard.

You will be the face of our business on-site, working directly with homeowners, builders and site supervisors to resolve issues and ensure customer satisfaction.

About the Role

Working within the Service Team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Attending residential and commercial building sites to complete maintenance and defect rectification works

  • Carrying out cabinetry adjustments, repairs, modifications and finishing works

  • Diagnosing and resolving installation-related issues

  • Completing punch lists and defect reports

  • Liaising professionally with homeowners, builders and site supervisors

  • Managing your daily schedule and attending appointments on time

  • Recording completed works, site notes and photographs using company software

  • Escalating issues requiring further action or manufacturing changes

  • Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard

  • Maintaining company vehicle, tools and equipment

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Trade qualifications or relevant experience in Cabinet Making, Joinery, Carpentry or a similar fit-off trade

  • Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills

  • Excellent workmanship and attention to detail

  • Professional presentation and customer-focused attitude

  • Ability to communicate confidently with homeowners, builders and site supervisors

  • Good computer and mobile device skills

  • Ability to accurately document completed works and site observations

  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage your daily workload independently

  • Current Driver's Licence

Highly Regarded

  • Previous experience performing warranty, maintenance or defect rectification work

  • Construction project management experience

  • Experience working within residential building environments

  • Understanding of construction drawings and specifications

  • Experience coordinating subcontractors or trades
