ABOUT THE ROLE

Due to continued growth, we are seeking a qualified and experienced Heavy Diesel Fitter to join our team based at our St Leonards facility.

This role will primarily focus on the servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repair of our transport fleet, including prime movers and trailers, while also supporting other heavy vehicles and equipment across the business as required.

The position will involve a combination of workshop and field-based work and is suited to someone who is motivated, solutions-focused and takes pride in delivering high quality workmanship.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

§  Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on prime movers, trailers and other heavy vehicles

§  Diagnose faults and perform breakdown repairs efficiently and safely

§  Conduct preventative maintenance to maximise fleet reliability and availability

§  Maintain accurate service and maintenance records

§  Work collaboratively with operations and maintenance teams

§  Promote and uphold safety and compliance standards

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role you will ideally have:

§  Diesel Fitting trade qualification

§  Experience servicing and maintaining heavy road transport vehicles, particularly prime movers and trailers

§  Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capabilities

§  Experience with modern engine, transmission and braking systems

§  Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively

§  Strong commitment to workplace safety

§  A proactive attitude and strong work ethic

§  Ability to pass a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening
