ABOUT US

Doors Replaced is a Melbourne door specialist. We supply and install custom timber and Colorbond entrance doors, made locally by Bespoke Doors in Moorabbin. We're not a high-volume churn shop. Our doors are the first thing people see when they walk up to a home, so the finish has to be right.

THE WORK

This is the door work most installers never get to touch. If you like the jobs other blokes knock back, you'll fit right in here.

Some jobs are a straight one-door swap. Plenty aren't. A lot of our work is full door transformations — pull out the old door, jamb and threshold, and refit the new setup clean and finished, same day. They're high-pressure, high-stakes days, and they pay accordingly. You'll work off a job sheet with the measurements already done.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED — FROM DAY ONE

This is specialist work, not swap-and-go. You'll need the right kit and the skills to run it from the very first job:

Australian citizenship is required for this position.

- Track saw, routers and a proper finishing kit — a circular saw and hoping for the best won't cut it here

- Real experience pulling jambs and thresholds and refitting doors to a clean, finished result

A minimum of 5+ years of door installation experience is required.

- Pivot experience is a big plus — if you've fitted FritsJurgens pivot systems or know your way around pivots, even better

- Your own ABN, public liability insurance and tools

- Reliable ute or van to cart doors and gear

- White Card

- Good with customers — you're in their home representing us

- You show up when you say you will

Not across pivots yet? No drama — but you put your hand up and tell us, you don't wing it. We'll bring you into the factory and walk you through how the system works and the maths behind it. What we can't have is someone guessing their way through a pivot install — on a FritsJurgens setup that's an expensive mistake.

THE MONEY

We pay top rates for installers who do it properly, and we're straight with you on the numbers. A regular day — say a two-door install — sits around $600–650 depending on scope. The big full-transformation days run $800–900. Run a steady week and you're looking at about $3k+ as a subbie, more again if you're quick and have a good eye. If you've got the gear and the experience to match the work, the money's there.
