About us

Metal Projects is a family-owned structural steel fabricator based in Wetherill Park. We've been going since 1991, delivering structural steel across Sydney — everything from commercial and industrial through to facade and architectural work. Our shop and our crews have a name for getting it right and getting it installed.

About the role

This is a site-focused position for an experienced boilermaker who's at home on a construction site. You'll be out installing our steel, working alongside our install crews, and coordinating directly with client supervisors and other trades to keep the job moving.

Day to day you'll be:

  • Installing structural steel and associated steelwork on site

  • General boilermaking, fit-up and welding as required

  • Reading and working from shop drawings and marking plans

  • Coordinating with site supervisors, riggers and other trades

  • Working safely and keeping the job to program

About you

  • Trade-qualified boilermaker / metal fabricator

  • Demonstrated hands-on experience, including solid time spent working on site (not just in a shop)

  • Confident welder across common processes

  • Able to read and work from structural shop drawings

  • A good communicator who works well in a crew and can liaise with site supervisors

  • Reliable, safety-focused and takes pride in the work

Tickets such as EWP, forklift, dogging or rigging are a plus.

What's on offer

  • Full-time permanent role with a stable, established business (30+ years)

  • Competitive rates

  • Varied, interesting projects

  • A crew that backs each other in

To apply, hit apply with your resume and we'll be in touch.
