Baltic Group is seeking a Mechanical Fitter to join our team out at Kestrel Coal!

The roster is 4/3 dayshift only.

Role Description:

Airline remediation project – removing and replacing old, rusty, or damaged airline within the CHPP.

Role Details:

  • Casual Mechanical fitter Contract

  • 4/3 roster (Monday–Thursday)

  • Travel within work hours (leave workshop 4:30am Monday, leave site 4:00pm Thursday)

  • Accommodation supplied (Emerald)

  • Bus supplied for transport

  • 13-hour days (12 hours work + 1 hour travel)

  • Paid travel from Mackay

To complete the task, the right candidate must:

  • Be confident reading schematics and following isolation procedures

  • Be able to work autonomously or within a crew

  • Be confident using Crip fittings, threading machines, and measuring equipment

  • Have strong motivation and drive, as the work is highly repetitive


Must Have:

  • Valid Standard 11

  • Valid CBM

  • Valid Driver’s Licence

  • Working at Heights

  • Confined Space

  • Gas Atmospheric Testing
