1st Year Apprentice - Boat Builder

Lumark is a family-owned business based in Coomera, specialising in refits for luxury and commercial vessels within the marine industry.

We are currently seeking motivated and reliable applicants to join our team as a 1st Year Boat Builder Apprentice. This is a great opportunity for someone who is eager to learn a trade, work hands-on, and build a career in the marine industry.

We are encouraging school leavers who are keen to learn a Boat builder trade to apply.

About the role:

As a Boat Builder Apprentice, you will work alongside a great team of qualified tradesmen and other apprentices, gaining practical skills in vessel refits, repairs, marine construction, and fabrication.

The apprentice will be working with aluminium, stainless steel, and steel as part of day-to-day vessel refit and fabrication work.

You will be part of a supportive team environment and learn the foundations of the boat building trade while working on luxury and commercial vessels.

The successful applicant will be required to attend TAFE and complete all required assessments towards their qualification.

This position will include a 3-month trial period.

The successful applicant will have:

• A strong work ethic and willingness to learn

• Ability to work well in a team environment

• Good attention to detail

• A current driver’s licence

• Full Australian working rights

• An interest in boats, marine work, fabrication, or hands-on metal trades
