Field Maintenance Fitter

The Company

Based in Turrella, Sydney, Thompsons Roller Shutters has been successfully designing, manufacturing, installing and servicing industrial / commercial door product since 1927.

The group is in a stage of significant growth and we are expanding our 24/7 repair and service team.

The Position

We are looking for a Service Technician to join our team to support existing and future product base throughout the Sydney metro and surrounding region.

The primary responsibility for this role is the service, repair and maintenance of the Thompsons Roller Shutter product range ensuring compliance to Australian Standards

We provide full on the job training for the right candidate.

What will you be doing:

· Service, repair and maintenance of Thompsons product range including industrial roller shutters, sectional doors, motors, and associated equipment.

· Complete service tasks within costs, time and quality standards.

· Assess faults and find solutions

· Complete documentation as per company and industry standards

· Excellent understanding of WHS requirements including incident & hazards reporting

· Other tasks that may be required from time to time.

Skills & Experience:

We’re looking for someone who brings:

• 2–3+ years experience in a similar repair and service, mechanical or fitting role.

• Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering (Fitter) – highly regarded.

• A current driver’s licence and White Card (MR, EWP, or forklift licence is a bonus).

• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
