About the Role

Multiphase Pty Ltd — Essential Service Specialists is a specialist fire protection maintenance and compliance contractor with over 29 years servicing Melbourne’s commercial, government, strata, aged care, hospitality, and industrial sectors. We’re looking for an experienced, self-sufficient Fire Alarm Technician to join our field team across metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria.

This is a hands-on role for someone who knows fire systems inside out — not a stepping stone for someone looking to learn the trade.

What You'll Be Doing

• Servicing and maintaining all types of fire alarm panels and Emergency Warning Systems including Ampac, Notifier, Simplex and Pertronic

• Programming, commissioning and fault finding across complex fire systems

• System interrogation and detailed defect reporting

• Emergency and exit lighting testing and installation

• All works carried out in accordance with AS 1851-2012

• Rotating after-hours on-call roster

• Reporting all work digitally via mobile or tablet

What You'll Bring

• Minimum 5 years dedicated fire alarm experience — you must be able to hit the ground running

• Qualified Electrician with strong fault finding and system interrogation skills across multiple panel brands

• Solid knowledge of AS 1851-2012 and relevant Australian Standards

• Emergency and exit lighting experience

• High attention to detail, strong customer focus, and professional presentation

• Current Victorian Driver’s Licence

Licences and Compliance Requirements

• Open Electrical Licence

• Open Cabling (Communications) Licence

• Victorian Driver’s Licence

• Working with Children Check

• Current Police Check (renewed annually)

• Flu/Covid-19 Vaccination (required for aged care sites)
