Qualified Greenkeeper

Position Summary

Manly Golf Club is seeking a motivated and professional qualified greenkeeper to join our Course Maintenance team.

Reporting directly to the Course Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent, this role is responsible for assisting in the preparation, presentation and ongoing maintenance of the golf course to the highest possible standards.

The successful applicant will play a key role in maintaining championship-quality playing surfaces while contributing to a positive team culture focused on professionalism, accountability and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include:

Maintain and prepare greens, tees, fairways, roughs and bunkers to a high presentation standard.
Carry out daily course set-up including hole changes, tee markers and course accessories.
Operate and maintain turf machinery safely and efficiently.
Apply fertilisers, herbicides and pesticides in accordance with best practice and legislative requirements.
Assist with irrigation operation, monitoring, troubleshooting and repairs.
Undertake turf renovation and cultural practices including aeration, topdressing and verticutting.
Contribute to construction, drainage and course improvement projects as required.
Complete daily maintenance tasks while demonstrating attention to detail and quality workmanship.
Maintain a safe, professional and positive work environment while supporting team culture.
Demonstrate initiative, accountability and a commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
