About the role

Hair Colosseum is seeking experienced Senior Hairstylists and Apprentices to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a professional salon environment in Seven Hills, NSW, where you'll showcase your expertise, develop your skills, and deliver exceptional service to our valued clients. Whether you're an established stylist looking to advance your career or an apprentice eager to learn the craft, we have positions available with immediate start dates to suit your availability.

What you'll be doing

As a Senior Hairstylist, you will:

1. Provide high-quality hairstyling services including cutting, colouring, perming, and styling for diverse clientele

2. Consult with clients to understand their needs and recommend appropriate treatments and products

3. Maintain impeccable salon standards and ensure all workstations are clean and well-organised

4. Build and maintain strong client relationships to encourage loyalty and repeat bookings

5. Mentor and support apprentices in developing their technical skills and salon protocols

6. Stay current with the latest trends, techniques, and industry best practices

7. Assist with salon promotions and contribute to a positive team culture

As an Apprentice, you will:

1. Learn fundamental hairstyling techniques under the guidance of experienced professionals

2. Assist Senior Hairstylists with client services and salon preparation

3. Develop knowledge of hair care products, treatments, and industry safety standards

4. Progress through formal apprenticeship training whilst gaining hands-on experience

5. Build client interaction skills and maintain professional salon standards

What we're looking for

For Senior Hairstylists:

1. Minimum 2 years of professional hairstyling experience in a salon environment

2. Current or recent hairdressing qualification or certification

3. Strong technical skills in cutting, colouring, and styling techniques

4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach

5. Ability to work collaboratively within a team whilst managing your own client base

6. Knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene standards in salon operations

7. Passion for the hair and beauty industry and commitment to continuous learning

For Apprentices:

1. Currently undertaking or willing to commence a hairdressing apprenticeship

2. Strong desire to develop a career in the hair and beauty industry

3. Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity

4. Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude

5. Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced stylists

6. Good communication skills and the ability to work well with clients and team members

7. A Year 10 qualification or equivalent is preferred for apprentices
