We are seeking a motivated and experienced Qualified Greenkeeper to join our Course maintenance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional who takes pride in maintaining high-quality turf surfaces and presenting sporting and recreational facilities to the highest standards
Keperra Country Golf Club is a welcoming golf club located just 15 minutes from Brisbane's CBD. Established in 1931, it has a proud history of developing top professional golfers, including John Senden, Peter Senior, and Jeff Woodland. The club offers a friendly environment for golfers of all skill levels and features a challenging 27-hole course set at the base of the Taylor Range.
The club is also renowned for hosting the annual Keperra Bowl, an R&A-accredited amateur championship that attracts many of Australia's leading young golfers. Past participants include Marc Leishman, Brady Watt, Cameron Smith, Elvis Smylie, Billy Dowling, and Jason Day. Played over four days, the tournament serves as an important pathway for national team selection and attracts significant local and national media attention.
Keperra Golf is maintained with a modern fleet of Toro, Baroness, and Kubota equipment, ensuring exceptional course presentation year-round.
The club is currently completing a $4 million clubhouse redevelopment and has partnered with EPAR and Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program in pursuit of internationally recognised environmental certification through the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain golf course greens, tees, fairways, and surrounding landscapes.
• Operate and maintain turf management equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform mowing, fertilising, irrigation, aeration, and pest management activities.
• Monitor turf health and identify maintenance requirements.
• Assist with course setup and presentation for members and events.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
Essential Requirements
• Recognised qualification in Turf Management, Greenkeeping, or a related field.
• Previous experience in golf course or sports turf maintenance.
• Knowledge of turfgrass management practices and irrigation systems.
• Ability to operate a range of turf maintenance machinery.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Current driver's licence.
Desirable Skills
• Chemical application certification.
• First Aid certification.
• Experience with irrigation troubleshooting and repairs.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
