About the role
We are seeking an experienced Truck driver/yards man to join our dynamic team at D and R Lavis Waste Disposal in Portsmith, QLD. This full-time role will see you play a key part in our waste management and logistics operations, delivering exceptional customer service.
What you'll be doing
Operate a range of waste management vehicles to collect and transport waste and recyclables from commercial and residential customers
Assist with the loading and unloading of waste and recycling materials at our yard
Perform routine maintenance checks on vehicles and report any issues
Ensure all waste collection and transportation activities are completed safely and efficiently
Provide excellent customer service to clients
Contribute to the continuous improvement of our waste management processes
What we're looking for
A valid Australian driver's licence (HR, HC or MC preferred)
Demonstrated experience operating heavy vehicles in a waste management or logistics environment
Strong knowledge of safe driving practices and vehicle maintenance
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Physical fitness to perform manual handling tasks
Passion for environmental sustainability and waste reduction
