About the role

A and J Electrical is seeking a Qualified Electrician to join our growing team in Tamworth NSW. This is a full-time position offering an excellent opportunity to utilise your electrical expertise whilst contributing to a dynamic and professional workplace. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical installations, maintenance and repair services to our diverse client base across residential, commercial and industrial projects.

What you'll be doing

As a Qualified Electrician, your key responsibilities will include:

1. Installing, testing and commissioning electrical systems and equipment in accordance with Australian electrical standards and regulations

2. Performing routine maintenance, fault diagnosis and repair work on electrical installations

3. Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, plans and specifications to ensure accurate installation and compliance

4. Ensuring all work meets the requirements of AS3000 and relevant safety standards

5. Using electrical testing equipment and tools to verify system functionality and safety

6. Liaising with clients, project managers and other tradespeople to ensure projects are completed on schedule and to specification

7. Maintaining accurate records of work completed, materials used and time spent on projects

8. Adhering to workplace health and safety procedures and promoting a safe working environment on all sites

What we're looking for

To succeed in this role, you will require:

1. A current Electrical license

2. Strong knowledge of electrical safety standards, building codes and regulatory requirements

3. Proficiency with electrical testing and diagnostic equipment

4. The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

5. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

6. A reliable vehicle and valid driver's license for site-based work

7. Willingness to travel for work
