Industrial Automation Electrician

The Company
Join an automation and engineering business specialising in intralogistics and automated systems, delivering solutions across airports, logistics and commercial infrastructure.
They are expanding their Sydney team to support long-term service contracts and upcoming projects.

Benefits

• $55 – $57 per hour base
• Rotating shifts (2 weeks days, 2 weeks arvo, 2 weeks nights)
• Afternoon loading - 15% and night loading 30%
• Salary: $131k – $137k + super
• OVERTIME guaranteed 1 weekend day every 4 weeks
• Salary with OT: $140k-145k + super

The Role
You will be based at the airport, maintaining automated systems, with additional involvement in other upcoming logistics projects.
 

• Electrical fault finding across automated and PLC-controlled systems (Siemens)
• Working with sensors including photoelectric, proximity and encoders
• Fault finding on motors, VSDs and electrical drive systems
• Diagnosing faults via PLC interface and control systems
• Working on control panels, relays and safety circuits
• Maintaining conveyor and sortation system controls
• Breakdown response, preventative maintenance and electrical upgrades

Requirements

• Trade qualified Cert 3 Electrician
• Experience in industrial or automated environments
• Exposure to PLC systems (fault finding level)
• Customer facing
