Welder

An opportunity is available for a Welder to join a leading Australian manufacturer of premium fireplaces.

This is a hands-on workshop role working on the fabrication and assembly of high-quality steel products. You will be responsible for welding, cutting, grinding and preparing components, offering a stable long-term opportunity within a growing Australian business.

Duties

• Tack welding and MIG welding steel components and frames
• Fabricating products from light to medium gauge steel
• Grinding, measuring and cutting steel materials
• Reading and interpreting basic engineering drawings
• Assisting with product assembly and workshop production
• Operating hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment
• Maintaining quality standards throughout the manufacturing process
• Keeping a safe and organised work environment

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 6 months' MIG welding experience
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
• Ability to read and follow basic engineering drawings
• Experience using hand and power tools
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Reliable with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Driver's licence and reliable transport essential
