HD Mechanic - Perth Based

Great team environment Genus Group is seeking an experienced Workshop Fitter to join our Fleet team based in Kenwick, WA.

This is a hands-on role supporting the maintenance and reliability of a diverse fleet of plant and equipment across major projects.
We are offering flexibility with either a Monday to Friday 6am -4pm roster or a 9 days on / 5 days off roster, depending on your preference.

��️ Key Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of fleet and plant
• Diagnose mechanical faults and perform breakdown repairs
• Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections
• Ensure all work is completed to safety and compliance standards
• Complete job cards, service reports, and maintenance records accurately
• Liaise with workshop team and fleet coordinators to ensure asset availability

• Truck-mounted EWPs
• Cranes (VLC & crane borers)
• Frannas
• Rigid and prime mover trucks
• Earthmoving equipment (excavators 5–35t)
• Drill rigs (T45, Soilmec, IMT)
• Light vehicles (Hilux, Prado)

✅ About You

• Trade qualified Diesel Fitter / Plant Mechanic / Heavy Duty Mechanic
• Experience working on heavy plant and mobile equipment
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Ability to work both independently and within a team
• High attention to detail and commitment to safety

• Relevant Trade Qualification
• Current Driver’s Licence (HR desirable)
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical & National Police Clearance
• Strong understanding of maintenance and compliance requirements
