About the business and the role

We are a family owned award winning business, primarily we are looking for a motivated 1st year apprentice who has a good work ethic, great communication skills, can work under pressure. We will consider a 2nd year apprentice for the position as well. 

We want somebody who has neat appearance, always on time and willing to tackle any job assigned. The right person for this is someone who wants to grow and gain more experience with the security of a long term position. 

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a will of wanting to learn about carpentry

  • Be able to motivate and listen to foreman onsite

  • Be reliable and company focused

  • Demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of WHS

  • An ability to work independently under instruction and also part of a team

  • Be able to communicate well with other team members.

  • Have excellent attention to detail

  • Either have a work ute or be in the process of getting a ute in a reasonably short time frame

  • Have or willing to get a Construction Induction Safety certificate (White card)(Will help get this for the right candite)  

In return, we will offer the successful candidate

  • A variety of projects to work on from renovations, extension and new builds

  • Opportunity to increase your skills set working on a broad range of projects

  • Work autonomously but with the support of an experienced Builder and Foreman

  • Some equipment and tools supplied

  • Willing to help guide proceed through apprenticeship with good Supervisors/mentors
