Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Plasterer with strong skills across framing,plasterboard installation (sheeting), and plaster setting. The successful candidate will have a high standard of workmanship, attention to detail, and the ability to complete residential and commercial projects safely, efficiently, and to a quality finish.

Key Responsibilities

Framing

  • Read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications

  • Complete internal wall and ceiling framing using steel framing systems

  • Measure, cut, assemble, and install framing components accurately

  • Install bulkheads, feature walls, doorways, and ceiling structures

  • Ensure framing is level, square, plumb, and ready for sheeting

  • Identify and resolve framing issues before plasterboard installation

Sheeting / Plasterboard Installation

  • Measure, cut, and install plasterboard, fibre cement sheets, and specialty boards

  • Install wall and ceiling linings to a high standard

  • Fit plasterboard around doors, windows, electrical points, plumbing penetrations, and fixtures

  • Complete patching, repairs, and renovations as required

  • Minimise wastage and maintain efficient material usage

  • Ensure all work complies with building standards and project requirements

Setting / Finishing

  • Apply joint compounds, tapes, and finishing coats

  • Complete stopping, sanding, and preparation for painting

  • Finish corners, joins, angles, and architectural details neatly

  • Inspect completed work and rectify imperfections

  • Maintain a high-quality finish across all projects

Required Skills & Experience

  • The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 1 year experience in the plastering and interior linings industry, with a proven track record of performance that can be verified

  • This is a full-time position, not an entry level job, and requires a good deal of experience and dedication

  • Aplicants should demonstrate experience using plastering tools, power tools, laser measuring equipment, suspended ceiling systems, fibrous plaster installation techniques and finishing techniques

  • Aplicants must be currently located in Queensland and available to attend an in-person interview and practical assesment in Bisbane region

Skilled in:

  • Steel wall framing

  • Plasterboard installation

  • Ceiling installation

  • Cornice and angle work

  • Jointing and finishing

  • Repairs and patching

  • Reading plans and measurements

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Good time management and ability to meet project deadlines

  • Understanding of workplace health and safety requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

  • White Card (required for construction work in Queensland)

  • Own tools and reliable transport

  • Current driver’s licence

  • Ability to work safely at heights and use relevant equipment
