We are seeking a motivated and reliable Gardener / Grounds Maintenance Team Member or  Hand Weeding Team Member to join our Green Team on a full-time basis at Sanctuary Lakes.

About the Role

As a Gardener / Grounds Maintenance Team Member or  Hand Weeding Team Member, you will play an important role in maintaining the high presentation standards of Sanctuary Lakes. Working as part of our Green Team, you will help ensure gardens, parks, pathways, and open spaces remain clean, healthy, and visually appealing for residents and visitors.  

Key Responsibilities

• Hand weeding garden beds, landscaped areas, and open spaces

• Identifying and removing weeds while protecting desirable plants

• Assisting with general garden and landscape maintenance

• Mulching, planting, pruning, and garden bed presentation

• Collecting and disposing of green waste

• Maintaining a safe and tidy work environment

• Operating gardening tools and equipment as required

• Supporting other Green Team activities and projects as directed

About You

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Enjoy working outdoors in varying weather conditions

• Have a strong work ethic and positive attitude

• Be physically fit and capable of performing manual outdoor tasks

• Take pride in attention to detail and maintaining high standards

• Be reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively within a team

• Have a strong commitment to workplace health and safety

• Have experience in gardening, landscaping, horticulture, grounds maintenance, or a similar outdoor environment (preferred)

• Hold a Certificate in Horticulture or a related qualification (preferred but not essential)

 

Essential Requirements

• Current Victorian Driver's Licence

• Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Ability to follow instructions and work independently when required
