About The Role

As an independent contractor, you’ll be out in the field, taking charge of consumer service calls allocated by our Service Allocation Team. You’ll diagnose issues, carry out repairs, and service a range of domestic appliances bringing solutions directly to customers’ doors.

Alongside your technical work, you’ll manage job administration through your company-issued device, keeping everything running smoothly and efficiently.

Collaboration is key, there will be times you’ll team up with fellow Technicians on more complex jobs, contributing your expertise to deliver great outcomes. At every step, you’ll provide an exceptional customer experience, ensuring all equipment is thoroughly tested and calibrated to meet industry standards.

What You'll Do

  • Service and Repair of a variety of domestic home appliances

  • Daily interaction with consumers, retailers and commercial customers

  • Working closely with service allocations team & Field Service Manager

  • Manage spare parts and van stock to enable first visit resolution

  • Accurate & timely completion of service jobs via company issued technology

  • Adhere to all work, health & safety requirements

Who You Are

  • Hold a relevant License & Certification to comply with state legislation;

    • Disconnect/Reconnect

    • Restricted Electrical License

  • Current Public Liability Insurance

  • Workers Compensation Insurance (if applicable) 

  • Availability & flexibility to cover a metropolitan service area 

  • Laundry, kitchen, or white goods experience advantageous 

  • Sound technical knowledge of appliances to diagnose and problem solve 

  • Skilled in proper use of tools, equipment and gauges to ensure optimal use 

  • Excellent customer service and effective communication skills 

  • A genuine enjoyment of building rapport with consumers and delivering a positive experience
