CR Mechanics | Northern Tasmania

CR Mechanics (part of CR Group Tasmania) is looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our growing workshop team.

We're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, takes pride in quality work and wants to be part of a business that values both its people and their families.

What Your Day Looks Like

·       Service it. Diagnose it. Fix it. Keep the fleet moving.

·       Working across trucks, concrete agitators, buses and support vehicles

·       Preparing vehicles for hire and keeping them road-ready

·       Working with drivers to understand faults and keep them moving

·       Communicating clearly with customers where required

·       Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop

What We Offer

·       Immediate start available

·       $45–$50+ per hour depending on experience, capability and preferred remuneration structure, with flexibility to tailor arrangements for the right person

·       Flexible remuneration options, including a flat hourly rate or traditional base rate plus overtime

·       Potential annual earnings of $125,000+ plus superannuation for an experienced mechanic

·       Fully maintained work vehicle provided with reasonable private use

·       A genuine commitment to work-life balance, with flexibility where practical and weekend work not generally expected

What We're Looking For

·       Trade-qualified Diesel Mechanic (or equivalent heavy vehicle experience)

·       Experience working on heavy vehicles, trucks or buses (concrete agitator experience is a bonus)

·       Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

·       Good communication skills and the ability to work professionally with drivers and customers

·       Someone who can work independently, make good decisions and take pride in doing the job properly.

·       Reliable, self-motivated and willing to take ownership

·       Positive attitude and team mindset
