Boilermaker - Sheetmetal Tradesperson

About the Role

CIE (Cristaudo's Industrial Electrics) Pty Ltd are seeking a skilled and experienced Boilermaker or Sheet Metal Tradesperson to join our fabrication team in Portsmith.

In this hands-on role, you will be primarily responsible for welding and fabricating skids and pipe frames for mining electrical and industrial equipment.

You will work in a modern workshop environment, contributing to the production of robust, high-standard structures that support critical mining operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble, and weld skids, pipe frames, and associated structural components using various welding processes (e.g., MIG, TIG, arc welding).

• Demonstrate proficiency in all three welding processes: MIG, TIG, and arc welding.

• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication.

• Cut, shape, bend, and align metal sections using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication machinery.

• Perform grinding, polishing, and finishing of welds to meet quality standards.

• Conduct quality checks and inspections on completed fabrications.

• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all workplace health and safety (WHS) procedures.

• Collaborate with the engineering and electrical teams to deliver projects on time and to specification.

• Assist with general workshop duties as required.
