Statewide Apprenticeships is a community-based, not-for-profit organisation that has supported South Australian apprentices, trainees and businesses for over 30 years. We focus on helping you build real skills, confidence and career pathways.
The Opportunity
This is more than just an apprenticeship - it’s your entry into a hands-on, fast-paced industry where no two days are the same.
You will:
· Work full-time while completing your Certificate III
· Gain experience across a range of workshops in the Adelaide metro area
· Learn from experienced automotive professionals
· Be supported throughout your 4-year apprenticeship
· Out-of-trade Light Vehicle Mechanics are strongly encouraged to apply.
What You’ll Learn
· Build the skills to become a qualified Light Vehicle Mechanic with experience across:
· Servicing and maintaining vehicles
· Diagnosing and repairing faults in engines, brakes and transmissions
· Performing safety checks and inspections
· Tyre fitting and wheel balancing
· Working with industry-standard tools and diagnostic equipment
About You
· We’re looking for someone who is passionate, driven and ready to get stuck in:
· Strong interest in cars and the automotive industry
· Recent school leaver or looking for a career change
· Out-of-trade apprentices wanting a fresh start are welcome
· Hands-on with good mechanical aptitude
· Reliable, punctual and willing to learn
· Physically fit and comfortable working in a workshop
· Able to pass a drug and alcohol screening and obtain a police check
· Holds a current driver’s licence and reliable transport
· Committed to completing a 4-year apprenticeship
