Our client is seeking an experienced Power Station Operator to join their team on a 2:2 FIFO roster at the Lakeway Potash Project in Wiluna. This is a full-time, permanent role suited to a self-motivated operator who can work autonomously while maintaining safe and reliable power generation.

You will be responsible for operating and maintaining a 10MW gas-fired power station, with diesel generation being introduced as part of ongoing site expansion. Reporting to senior leadership, you will play a key role in ensuring consistent site power supply.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Operating and monitoring gas and diesel generation systems
  • Performing routine maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs
  • Conducting electrical and mechanical fault finding
  • Adjusting output to meet load demands
  • Maintaining accurate logs and using maintenance systems
  • Ensuring safety compliance and general site upkeep
  • Supporting installation and commissioning of additional capacity


What you’ll need:

  • Experience with gas and diesel power generation, ideally Cummins
  • Trade-qualified Electrician with mechanical aptitude
  • Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
  • Understanding of power generation and load management
  • Experience with maintenance systems and control systems
  • Current driver’s licence, first aid, HV switching and LV rescue
  • Ability to work independently in a remote FIFO environment
