Boilermaker / Sheet metal worker / Metal Fabricator

Baillie Industries is growing and we're hiring.

We're looking for one skilled tradesperson to join our team in Reservoir:

• Boilermaker

Candidates must have a minimum of 4-7 years of boilermaking experience.

While this role is primarily based at a major paper manufacturing facility, Baillie Industries also delivers workshop fabrication and site-based mechanical services across a diverse range of industrial clients. This means the role offers variety, interesting work, and the opportunity to work on different projects and equipment.

Are you a skilled Boilermaker with welding finesse and a knack for problem-solving?
Baillie Industries is on the lookout for a self-sufficient trades to join our passionate maintenance team in a major paper manufacturing facility.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Performing high-quality welding using a range of processes including TIG, MIG, and Stick across stainless steel pipework, plate, and structural components and plant equipment

• Applicants must hold a recognised trade qualification for welding.

• Collaborating with engineers to develop practical, efficient solutions

• Project and maintenance work

• Delivering work to a high standard, on time, and safely

• A strong work ethic and a keen eye for detail

• A commitment to quality and pride in your craftsmanship

• Problem-solving mindset – we love people who take initiative

• Excellent communication – respectful and reliable

• Forklift license and confined space ticket – advantageous, but not essential

• Most importantly, a sense of humor – non-negotiable!

• Experience welding stainless is a bonus

Employment Details:

• Initial 3-month probation at a casual rate

• Transition to full-time employment upon successful completion

• Excellent workshop and a tight-knit team environment

• Australian citizenship is required for this position.
