About the role

King Smash Repairs is seeking an Experienced Panel Beater to join our team on a full-time basis at our Eden, NSW 2551 location. This is a 4 Day work Week Monday to Friday 7am to 5.30pm. This is a hands-on role that sits at the heart of our collision repair operations, where your expertise in panel beating and vehicle restoration will be essential to delivering high-quality repairs to our valued customers. You will work directly with damaged vehicles, utilising your technical skills and experience to restore vehicles to their pre-accident condition, whilst maintaining the highest standards of craftsmanship and safety.

Key responsibilities

  1. Assess and evaluate vehicle damage, determining the most effective repair methods and techniques

  2. Remove and reshape damaged panels using specialised hand tools, power tools, and panel beating equipment

  3. Perform metalwork and welding tasks to restore vehicle structural integrity

  4. Prepare panels and vehicle surfaces for painting by ensuring they meet quality standards

  5. Work collaboratively with spray painters and other team members to ensure seamless repair completion

  6. Maintain detailed records of repair work completed and materials used

  7. Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company safety protocols

  8. Utilise diagnostic equipment and techniques to identify hidden damage

  9. Manage time effectively to meet repair schedules and customer deadlines

What we're looking for

  1. Proven experience as a Panel Beater, with a strong portfolio demonstrating quality panel beating work

  2. Comprehensive knowledge of vehicle body structures and repair techniques

  3. Proficiency with panel beating tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic tools

  4. Understanding of vehicle safety systems and structural requirements

  5. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality repairs

  6. Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently

  7. Valid Australian Driver's Licence

  8. Relevant certifications or qualifications in automotive panel beating (preferred)

  9. Experience with modern vehicle materials and repair technologies (advantageous)

  10. Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic and team attitude
